This site is run by JR's Carts and Cuts, a mobile golf cart and mower repair business in Kalispell, Montana. Using it means you are alright with what follows.

The calculators and reference tools

The lift and tire calculator, the battery and range calculator, the serial number decoder and the course map are provided free and are estimates. They are built from published manufacturer figures and they are useful, but they do not know your particular cart.

Tire fitment depends on your suspension, your offset and how your cart has been modified. Battery range depends on terrain, load, temperature and the actual condition of your pack. Serial decoding follows published manufacturer conventions, and where a number only narrows the year to a range the tool says so rather than guessing.

Check anything that is going to cost you money before you spend it. Call and Jared will tell you what he thinks about your specific cart, which is the part a calculator cannot do.

The guides and articles are not professional advice

Jared writes about what he sees in the shop. It is honest and it is specific to northwest Montana, and it is still general information rather than an inspection of your cart.

The article about Montana golf cart law is the clearest example. He is a mechanic, not a lawyer. Whether you can legally drive a cart on your street is decided by your town's ordinance and by the state, and the only reliable answers come from your city clerk and the Montana Motor Vehicle Division. Do not treat anything here as legal advice.

The marketplace

Listings are placed by their owners. JR's Carts and Cuts is not the seller, is not a party to the sale, and does not take a cut of it except under consignment, where the fee is agreed with you beforehand.

• Standard listing, Free. You publish your own number.
• Screened contact, $25. Jared filters the buyers, your number stays private.
• Full consignment, Agreed fee. Jared runs the whole sale.

A free listing runs for 60 days and a paid one for 90. A consignment runs until the cart sells. There is no card payment on this site. If you choose a paid plan, Jared calls you and invoices afterwards, which is why a billing address is asked for.

You cannot edit a listing once you publish it. You get a review step before it goes live, and it warns you. If something needs changing afterwards, call Jared and he will change it for you.

If you list a cart, you are telling us you own it or have the owner's permission to sell it, that what you have written about it is true, and that the photos are of that cart. Jared can decline or remove a listing, and will if it turns out not to be accurate.

Buying a used cart is between you and the seller. Screening means Jared filters out the people who are obviously not serious. It is not an inspection, a valuation or a warranty, and it is not a promise about the cart or the person selling it. Look at the cart before you pay for it.

Rentals

Rental prices on this site are day rates and the delivery figure is an estimate based on road miles. Availability is not booked through the site. Nothing is reserved until you have spoken to Jared, because the fleet is small and summer weekends go early.

If you choose to haul a rental cart yourself rather than have it delivered, Jared needs your tow vehicle and trailer details and your insurance information before you collect it. A cart is heavier than people expect and the trailer has to be rated for it.

Service work

Anything quoted here is indicative. Real prices come after Jared has looked at your cart, and he would rather tell you a job is not worth doing than take the money. Mower work is drop off rather than mobile, and during golf cart season it is fitted in around that.

What you send us

Do not submit anything you do not have the right to submit, and do not use the forms to send abuse, spam or anything unlawful. Sending us photos and listing text gives us permission to publish them on this site for the purpose you sent them for, and nothing beyond that. They stay yours.

Availability

This is a small business website. It may be down sometimes, and content may be out of date between updates. Prices, availability and the details of any package can change.

Liability

The information and tools here are provided as they are. To the extent Montana law allows, JR's Carts and Cuts is not liable for loss arising from relying on information on this site, from a transaction between a buyer and a seller on the marketplace, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability for the actual work Jared performs on your cart, which stands on its own.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana.

Changes

If these terms change the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the site means the new version applies.
